The dramatic situation in Ukraine calls for an urgent review of the Italian energy system, for ethical, economic and national security reasons. This is how Italia Solare writes to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. The association explains how the recent measures taken by the current government to combat high energy prices are ineffective and, paradoxically, protect gas and oppose renewables.
Among renewable energies, photovoltaics is the most cost-effective energy technology. And it is the one that, more than any other, can guarantee new power in a short time and, with storage, continuity of energy supply.
The association points out that projects are ready, but slowed down by authorisations.
“The transition process must be started immediately, with a constant dialogue with renewable energy operators, and without giving in to the fossil lobbies.
Dear President, we call on you to make Parliament and the Government aware of the need for a real change in the energy paradigm, with rapid, concrete and incisive initiatives.”
