Photovoltaic plants in Italy are growing again

Report ‘Renewables 2020’: in 2021-2022 photovoltaics will lead the growth of all renewables also thanks to the 110% superbonus

Despite the crisis due to COVID-19, PV in Italy is growing again: in the first half of this year, new installations increased by 12% compared to the same period in 2019, with a forecast of new installed capacity throughout 2020 of around 0.8 GW. And in the 2021-2022 biennium, PV will lead the growth of all renewables in part due to tax incentives, including the 110% superbonus.
In more than 170 pages, the IEA Report offers detailed analysis and forecasts through 2025 of the impact of the pandemic on global renewable energy in the electricity, heat, and transportation sectors. In stark contrast to power plants fueled by other fuels, renewable electricity generation facilities will grow by nearly 7% globally in 2020.
