Germany’s Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) has announced the results of its latest tender for onshore wind, which was largely oversubscribed. 528 bids with a capacity of 6,083 MW were submitted out of an original tendered quantity of 4,094 MW. 348 bids with a combined capacity of 4,098 MW were eventually accepted by the Bundesnetzagentur.
The values of the successful bids range from €6.93c/kWh to the maximum permissible value of €7.35c/kWh. The average price stood at €7.15c/kWh, compared to €7.33c/kWh in the previous round. The largest volumes of awards were for sites in North Rhine-Westphalia (116 awards, 1,256 MW), Lower Saxony (46 awards, 606 MW), Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (32 awards, 429 MW) and Brandenburg (46 awards, 380 MW).
In its previous onshore wind tender (September 2024), which was also oversubscribed, the Federal Network Agency awarded 2,723 MW of onshore wind (230 bids).
